About Dr. Jayachandran R
Dr Jayachandran completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Madras Medical College, Chennai. Subsequently he worked as a register in the department of neurology at JIPMER, Pondicherry. Later he joined NIMHANS for his neurology training. After completing DM in Neurology, he worked as a senior registrar in the department of neurology at NIMHANS. Subsequently, he completed postdoctoral fellowship in stroke and intervention neuroradiology from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. After returning to India he established the stroke unit at Vikram Hospital Bangalore and heads the stroke services. Apart from acute management of stroke Jayachandran has been treating various kinds of neurological disorders. He is actively involved in the management of COVID 19 related neurological illnesses. He is also associated with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India, Bangalore chapter. He has keen interest in electrophysiology and neuroimmunology.
